What does being a Which? Trusted Trader actually mean?

It means Which? have assessed us and we have signed up to their code of conduct — it is not a badge you can simply buy. You can look us up on the Which? Trusted Traders website, and you should: an endorsement you cannot check is not worth much.

Do you cover my area?

Accepted Answer

Primary coverage is Halwill Junction, Beaworthy, Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and Okehampton — plus Winkleigh, Torrington, Bideford, Bude and Launceston on the wider radius. Somewhere else? Give us a call — we'll be honest about whether it's too far.

What does a bespoke shed cost?

Every bespoke shed is different — size, materials, groundworks, whether you want a home-office kit or a simple tool store. It's usually a quick chat to work it out. Most builds start on site within two to four weeks of agreeing a spec.

Question 4

Do I need a concrete base first?

Accepted Answer

Not if you haven't got one — we'll lay a fresh concrete base as part of the job. If you've already got a slab or paving we'll check it's level and right for the size of shed before we build. Either way, the groundworks are our problem, not yours.

What timber do you use?

Accepted Answer

Pressure-treated timber throughout — framing, cladding, floor joists. That's what keeps a shed standing for decades in North Devon weather rather than rotting at the corners after five years. Proper joinery, not flat-pack panels wedged together.

Question 6

Fencing — panels or full runs?

Accepted Answer

Both. Panel replacement where the run's still good and only a few have gone. New runs where posts are leaning or rotten and it's worth doing properly. Gates, trellis, posts reset in concrete. Feather-edge, closeboard, picket and palisade depending on the look you want.

Yes, fully insured. We'll happily share our public liability details before a job starts if you'd like to see them.
